The role of the NSIP (Nonlinear Signal and Image Processing) Board is to
coordinate and assist in organizing NSIP events. The Board is to solicit
tenders for future organizers and sites. Board members are also to
assist in defining the scope of each event and offer technical and practical
assistance in organizing NSIP events.
NSIP events shall be organized under the auspices of the IEEE and EURASIP
societies. Additional co-sponsorship by other national or international
organizations may be solicited for each event. The official title of
major NSIP events shall include "IEEE - EURASIP NSIP" .
Board members elect a chairman and vice-chairman who serve for two years
each. The current Vice-Chairman shall serve as Chairman following his/her
term as Vice-Chairman. Members serve in the Board for a four-year term which
is automatically renewable unless otherwise stated by the member.
New members to the Board are proposed by a current Board member and voted on
by a majority vote. The Board shall be composed of a maximum of 15 members.
The Board shall hold its meetings once every two-years during major NSIP
events. A quorum is formed by at least half the members present or
represented in the meeting.
Email meetings are held when needed. All decisions shall be taken by a
majority vote. The Chairman hold a casting vote.
The Bylaws of the Board can be ratified by at least two-thirds of the
members.
